Friday Fun: “Managing” Time?

Too much to do & not enough time?
Take a little break from the stress and . . .
Let’s laugh the whole thing off

Quick Intro before we get to the Funnies

My recent articles about Time and Time Management have been very well received, but surely we deserve goof-off time in our lives, don’t we?

After all, we are ALL more than our To-Do Lists, right?

And, since the science guys tell us that laughter is great for our mental and physical health, who are we to argue?

Let’s get the weekend started with a few chuckles.

Take a look at a few time-related funnies that I tripped across,
mostly on Pinterest.

How many of the situations below make YOU nod your head?

YOU PLAY TOO

If you have something on your website or blog that relates to the theme, especially if it’s humorous, please feel free to leave a link in a comment.

Keep it to one link per comment or you’ll be auto-spammed, but multiple comments are just fine and most welcome.

AND NOW for some more humor TODAY . . .

Don’t forget that you can always check out the sidebar
for a reminder of how links work on this site, they’re subtle ==>

This Friday’s theme: Time Topics

(most images below found on Pinterest)

Work Time . . .

Killing Time?

Mom Time . . .

Science, Statistics & Time

Perspective: NO explanation needed

Th-th-th-at’s all folks!
SEE YOU NEXT TIME

Funnies post only occasionally

Reminding you of what I disclosed in the introduction to this series, Funnies about Perspective: unlike the ongoing Sunday Smiles and Monday Funnies you’ll find on Chris The Story Reading Ape’s Blog, my Friday Funnies will show up only occasionally, usually clustered around a theme.

If things seem to have gotten a tad serious in the world – or on ADDandSoMuchMORE.com – get ready for another hit of humor, most likely another Friday Funny.

I loved ALL your chuckles this week (last week? My how (mismanaged) time flies!) 😉

The Minion cleaning his room is me to a T, sadly and explains why my bedroom is the way it is!

And just because i’m a math nerd (amongst other things) who likes to test the veracity of statements made on the internet – even in cartoons…. The world spins anti-clockwise viewed from above the North Pole so assuming the cartoon was for people in the Northern hemisphere the spinner would need to exert a force opposing that to reduce the earth’s angular momentum with the force applied through her feet. Conservation of Angular Momentum gets a bit (??) complicated when applied to a large spherical shape like that of the earth and the tiny amount the girl might exert against the earth would be best applied at either Pole as, at the equator, her spinning is perpendicular to the axis of rotation and evenly distributed both for and against the earth’s angular momentum effectively cancelling any slowing down out with a force speeding it up.

It is actually amazingly difficult to figure out for yourself exactly what force and in which direction you apply to the surface of the earth in the simple act of spinning around like a top. It’s kind of counter-intuitive as anyone who has ever tried standing on a turntable and getting it to spin has found out. The ground does not act like a turntable and rotate under our feet but has more of a pushing action or resistance to friction in a straight-line motion which we convert into a rotation of our body by applying a torque through our ankles.

Oh Great! – now i’m gong to be figuring all this out for weeks! ;-(

Happy Friday (Saturday now i guess?) ! 😉

    • You are a hoot, Love!

My mind does that too, btw – takes off on a thought stream in response to a comment or a joke — so your thought process in his comment made me howl in delight.

I doubt that the spinning girl would ever understand your point, however. I chuckle to imagine the confounded look on the boyfriend’s face. Hopefully, she has charms outside the intellect and will stop spinning SOON. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and making me laugh. Happy Saturday to you too (or whatever day it is at your end of the planet – timezones confound).
      xx,
      mgh

TGI Friday.. if that is your working week.. but certainly time to have some light relief that is supplied by Madelyn Griffith-Haynie. Time management is one of the areas that most of us find challenging but for some it can be deadly. So take time out to enjoy the humour… especially love the toddlers. Take some time out this weekend to smell the roses and enjoy time with your family and friends.. #recommended
