Come meet your TRIBE
by Madelyn Griffith-Haynie, CTP, CMC, ACT, MCC, SCAC
I would like to personally invite you to join one of the coolest ADD Playgrounds since the AOL ADD community (way back in the online “olden days”) — ADDerWorld.
Membership is free. Bryan Hutchinson, the author of One Boy’s Story (and other ADD books and ebooks) uses book royalties to pay the freight. In fact, when you join, he even lets you download a couple for absolutely nothing.
It’s like a FaceBook just for ADDers — and loved ones, colleagues, managers and educators who want to understand the ADDers they work with, teach, live with and love.
Do you have ADD yourself?
- If you’ve ever felt like nobody in the world will ever understand – GET OVER THERE!
- If you’re looking for a shoulder to cry on, a group to laugh with, a place where nobody’s gonna’ make you wrong – GET OVER THERE!!!
- If you’re looking for a place where you can blog about your feelings without having to hide who you are – you know where to go, right?
Are you trying to live with an ADDer?
- If you’ve ever felt like you will never in the world understand what’s going in in that ADD head of theirs – GET OVER THERE!
- If you’re positive sometimes that YOUR ADDer really IS Lazy, Stupid and Crazy – it’ll all start making A LOT more sense as you read the same private thought, tears and triumphs of so many other ADDers doing and saying what you thought was a behavioral quirk unique to your ADD pal – ALL on ADDerWorld!!!
So Who Else is There?
Some members are licensed ADD Professionals, some are ADD Coaches, some cut their ADD chops “in the trenches,” and some just found out they have ADD last week!
Others don’t have a lick of ADD themselves, but they’re trying to parent ADD kids
(or trying not to kill an ADD spouse or employee or boss!)
On ADDerWorld You Can . . .
. . . join a group, start a group, write articles and commentaries on your own blog, chime in on the blog posts of others, ask questions, answer questions, read about what others are thinking and doing for insight into ADD struggles, celebrate triumphs, download e-books, WIN ADD books (and meet the authors) – and more!
If it impacts ADD, somebody is ON it!
One last thing – did I tell you that it is advertisement free?
Yep – absolutely no BUY NOW pop-ups to have to deal with!! In FACT, the only marketing allowed is on ADDer’s personal pages (and one other place you’re allowed to post links). It really IS a support group. Check it out!
Check out my ADDerWorld blog
Below, are links to some of my personal blog posts, where I get to blow off a little quirky ADDer steam and let my sense of humor out of the bag (newest on top) . You have to sign in over there to read them, but I promise you won’t be sorry you joined. So click one of the links below and JUST GET OVER THERE ALREADY!!
BY THE WAY – everything below will open in a new window/tab – and you will be asked to sign up (unless you are already a member). Not to worry – like I said, it’s all free!!
(Oh yeah – when you sign up, tell ’em I sent you – I really want those “Ginzu Knives” 😉 )
“Friend” me when you get there!
- Tra La, it’s May (are we stuck with that?)

I give you BIGTIME credit for your “better late than never” action, Bryan. Personally, I’m stunned that you even tripped across it again in your “meant to do” list, given the size of your to-do list, much less moved into action when you did. So thank you for your thank you! (For those who are wondering, Bryan is the founder of ADDerWorld)

I have been a member of ADDer World since 2008 longer than I’ve been on facebook. I love that place and it’s positivity. It is a different world than the physical one, in that we get it. It’s also a great place to make friends. It’s a great place if you have co-morbidity going on in addition to ADD/ADHD. Each and every new member is greeted and welcomed into the community with open arms and acceptance.

Hi MGH readers…
I agree that ADDerWorld is a fabulous place with so many people sharing their heartfelt thoughts and ideas, but also wishes and dreams. And I, for one, have really enjoyed having this place to go to since joining in about a year ago. My favourite times here are when someone asks a question like: “Does this ever happen to you?” or “Do you hate doing this or that”? The answers help me sort out just which of my ‘unusual’ traits are ADD related and which are just me!!

I know what you mean about “sorting out.” As long as I’ve know I have ADD (and as much as I know about it), my heart feels less heavy every time I hear that I’m not as odd as I sometimes feel around my [non-ADD] friends!
