The ADD MasterCoach Profile™ is rigorous – daunting, even – but you won’t believe the impact on your practice.
When you score above 85 on The MasterCoach Profile™, not only will your practice be sustainably full, you will be one of the leaders in the ADD Coaching field and a model for every single coach in the industry.
While there are no real guarantees in this business, working The ADD MasterCoach Profile™ is the closest thing to a guarantee you will find in the coaching field.
There is simply no way you can score well on this Program and not be at the top of the field by any standard you would care to measure.
So what IS this thing?
The ADD MasterCoach Profile™ is the second of two practice building programs I developed to support the OFI Associates, the first wave of ADD Coaches world-wide, trained through the flagship training of The Optimal Functioning Institute™. I have always made it available to my own mentor clients and those coaches in my Mentor Groups who have reached a score of 160 on JumpStart.™
As with JumpStart™, the earlier practice building program, MasterCoach™ quantifies 100 key factors that lead to maintaining a sustainably full, rewarding and profitable ADD Coaching practice.
Where JumpStart™ is divided evenly into 10 categories, MasterCoach™ consists of seven areas of focus, each section contributing 10, 15 or 20 points to the total score, depending on category.
A perfect score on The MasterCoach™ Program is 100: you earn a half a point for initiating action, and the other half only once the item is almost always present, indicating its integration into your coaching life.
MasterCoach™ is divided into the following 7 categories:
ADD Knowledge Base – 20 points
Recognized ADD Expert – 10 points
Coaching Mastery – 10 points
BizMaster – 15 points
Marketing Master – 20 points
Profitability – 10 points
A Model of Self Care – 15 points
As you read through the Program itself, the individual items in the seven categories may make you feel tempted to throw in the towel!
Working with The ADD MasterCoach™ Profile is a HUGE game to play with your practice.
- It is designed to take several years to complete, working on your own or with a coach, and some of you will never score as well as you might like on it.
- My own scores are nowhere near where I would like them to be either!! I work this Program as a challenge to myself to continue to grow in every arena that I would like to model for my clients.
Can you be successful without high scores on this Program?
Of course you can. There are ADD coaches working at this very moment who have great reputations, make a huge difference with their clients, and make a very nice living from their coaching practices.
If they were to work through this program they would probably laugh or shake their heads as they skipped from category to category, marking very little.
With a field is as young as ours, even the leaders don’t have to be very far along in their personal and business growth to be front-runners.
Maintaining High Standards allows competency to build on itself
When the pioneers first came to this country, the houses they built were primitive, even by the standards of their time. Even the most successful began in dwellings that many of us today would consider camping-out.
Somewhere along the way, housing standards rose as settlers were able to play bigger games with shelter.
While I’m sure they didn’t seed their growth with a written “program” for architectural development, they certainly held themselves to extremely high standards, pushing toward them by holding their vision and their standards as goals and challenges.
Look what they were able to accomplish in their lifetimes!
Today, we live in a world where change is a constant and growth rates are rapid. As Coaching ranks swell we must raise the bar on ourselves if our industry is to continue to grow and flourish.
If we expect to remain individually successful we must be prepared to continue to grow and develop to remain visible at the head of the pack – unless we are content to remain one of the anonymous runners in the metaphorical “back woods,” following the footsteps of the leaders.
Our Field is Growing – and growing UP!
The time will come sooner than we realize when we will be expected to model excellence in each of the arenas measured by MasterCoach™ to be able to reach and sustain preeminence.
Hold this program as a map to mastery: in our field we cannot afford to use that word lightly.
